  • Survey on Caring Ability and Its Associated Factors among Baccalaureate Nursing Students

    Objective To analyze caring ability and its associated factors among baccalaureate nursing students, so as to put forward suggestions for improving students’ caring ability. Methods A cross-sectional study was used to investigate baccalaureate nursing students’ caring ability and its associated factors in 4 nursing departments of medical universities in Sichuan province. Results The grade of overall status quo of students’ caring ability was 189.72±19.57, and the mean item scores of different subscales showed that patience was highest and courage was lowest.Two variablescould explain the differences in baccalaureate nursing students’ caring ability: relationship with mother and clinical practice. Conclusion Our study suggests that students’ caring ability could be improved by practicing caring and increasing their exposure to clinical practice. Our findings also suggest that school, society and family are all involved in the cultivation of caring ability.

  • 1 196 篇反思日记中四年制护理本科生初入临床突出问题的反馈分析

    目的 探索反馈式学习中四年制护理本科生(护生)在第三学年所体现出来的专业思想、护患沟通情况、紧张焦虑等状态。 方法 2015 年 1 月—12 月对初次进入四川大学华西医院泌尿外科进行临床见习阶段的四川大学华西护理学院四年制本科的三年级护生作为研究对象。向入选的 54 名护生发放日记本,在其知情同意的前提下,要求护生每周临床见习结束后撰写 1 次见习反思日记;27 次见习结束后,根据自愿原则收回反思日记,并进行认真阅读、分析、归纳与总结。 结果 收回 53 名护生的 1 196 篇反思日记,平均完成 22.6 篇/人。从专业思想稳定性、沟通能力、紧张焦虑状况 3 个维度进行分析、归纳和总结,32 人(60.4%)153 篇反思日记透露出护生对护理专业存在思想不稳定;48 人(90.6%)296 篇反思日记认为其护患沟通能力不足,不能满足见习时的沟通需要;53 人(100.0%)718 篇反思日记中反映出护生见习时有不同程度的焦虑紧张心理。护生在专业思想稳定时,护患沟通能力欠佳比例和紧张焦虑发生率均明显低于专业思想不稳定时,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。 结论 初入见习期的护生对护理工作有专业思想不稳定、护患沟通需求与能力不符合、紧张焦虑心理较严重等情况,需要带教老师给予充分关注与重视,多运用鼓励式教育,并在带教过程中给予护生更多的人文关怀。

  • Investigation on readiness for and attitude towards interprofessional learning among medical undergraduates

    ObjectiveTo investigate the status quo of readiness for and attitude towards interprofessional learning among sophomore undergraduates and analyze the correlation between them, so as to provide a reference for the development of interprofessional education in China.MethodsFrom September to November 2018, with the convenience sampling method, the Chinese versions of Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale and Interdisciplinary Education Perception Scale were used to carry out a cross-sectional study among the second-year undergraduates of 2017 from a medical university in Nanjing.ResultsA total of 341 sophomores were surveyed. The median score of readiness for interprofessional learning was 69.00 with the interquartile range being 11.00, and the median score of attitude towards interprofessional collaboration was 86.00 with the interquartile range being 14.00. Additionally, there was a positive correlation between interprofessional readiness and attitude (rs=0.282, P<0.001).ConclusionSophomore undergraduates are generally in a positive state of readiness for interprofessional learning as well as attitude towards interprofessional collaboration, and there is a positive correlation between interprofessional readiness and attitude, suggesting that it is worth considering to carry out interprofessional education activities among medical sophomore undergraduates.

  • An Investigation of the Status of Clinical Learning Environment in Undergraduate Nursing Students' in the late Clinical Practice Stage in Sichuan Province

    ObjectiveTo explore the status of clinical learning environment in undergraduate nursing students in the late clinical practice stage in Sichuan Province. MethodThe sampling was performed in a layered-randomized and geometric proportional way. A total of 1 027 nursing students from 6 nursing schools in Sichuan Province between May and July 2012 were included. Data were collected by the self-rating questionnaires, including demographic sheet, and the nursing clinical learning environment scale. ResultsThe general score of evaluation for clinical learning environment by the nursing undergraduates was 144.99±26.60, and the average score of the items was 3.45±0.63. The average scores were 3.41±0.74, 3.59±0.64, 3.43±0.69, 3.45±0.73, 3.35±0.77, and 3.49±0.69, representing the personality, task orientation, working atmosphere and team spirit, innovation, interpersonal relation, and student participation, respectively. ConclusionsThe assessments about clinical learning environment of nursing undergraduates in Sichuan province are medium grade and the evaluation dimensions of personality and interpersonal relationships low. It is necessary to improve clinical learning environment in the future.

  • Study on Effects of Patient Safety Education for Undergraduate Nursing Students

    ObjectiveTo explore the effect of patient safety education course on the undergraduate nursing students in terms of knowledge, attitude and skills about patient safety. MethodsWe enrolled five-year undergraduates admitted to Wannan Medical College in 2009. Eighty two nursing students who took part in the elective course of patient safety education course at the first semester of the seniors were selected as the observation group; while the other 359 nursing students who did not took part in the course were selected as the control group. The questionnaire method was performed to investigate the knowledge, attitude and skills about patient safety before and after the course. ResultsThere were significant higher scores in the observation group than in the control group in the following domains:"Knowledge of medical errors" and "What should I do after medical errors occur?". ConclusionSetting up "patient safety education" course could significantly improve the knowledge, attitude and skills about patient safety for undergraduate nursing students.

    医患沟通是连系医患双方关系的一条重要纽带,提高医生的医患沟通能力与改善医患关系有着密不可分的联系。我国对医学本科生的医患沟通教育相对欠缺,加强医学生的人文素质培养、教授沟通的基础理论知识,加强标准化患者(SP)的使用与考核,加强沟通实践,针对医学学习的不同年级阶段,分步成体系地开展医学生沟通教育,可有效地提高医学生的医患沟通能力,缓和医患对立、改善医疗环境、促进社会的稳定和谐。

  • 护理本科生对艾滋病相关知识及态度的调查分析

    目的 了解护理本科生(护生)对艾滋病(AIDS)相关知识了解情况及对人类免疫缺陷病毒(HIV)感染者/AIDS患者的态度,为学校开展相关健康教育提供参考依据。 方法 2011年2月采用问卷调查法,对285名护生进行调查,收回问卷276份,有效问卷257份。 结果 护生对HIV/AIDS相关知识平均得分为(21.2 ± 3.8)分,对正确使用安全套知识平均得分为(3.7 ± 1.6)分,各年级掌握情况有差异(P<0.001)。257名护生中,82.5%对因输血或注射感染HIV者持同情态度,33.9%和32.3%的护生对因婚前或婚外性行为、性服务者而感染HIV者持歧视态度。 结论 学校应对护生进行系统正确的HIV/AIDS相关知识的教育,培养护生正确对待HIV感染者/AIDS患者的态度。

    【摘要】护理是一门科学性极强的应用性学科,在临床实习期运用好的带教方法为护理本科生实施带教,以帮助其更快、更好地完成从单纯接受知识到运用知识解决实际问题的转变。文章总结了近年来在护理本科生临床实习过程中所采用的创新带教方法,并对其科学依据和特点进行分析,为本科护理实习临床带教提供理论参考。【Abstract】 Nursing is a discipline of scientific application. In the clinical intern period, with better teaching methods, nursing students can faster and better complete the transformation from simple knowledge acceptance to use of knowledge to solve practical problems. We summarized some innovative teaching methods in the clinical intern period of the nursing undergraduate students in recent years, and analyzed the scientific base and advantages of each method, to provide a theoretical reference for the clinical teaching of undergraduate nursing practice.

  • Influence of Psychiatric Nursing Course on Attitude of Nursing Undergraduates to Patients with Mental Illness

    ObjectiveTo compare attitudes of nursing undergraduates to patients with mental illness before and after learning psychiatric nursing course and provide evidence for the improvement of teaching of the course. MethodsStigma scale to patients with mental illness was used as a questionnaire for collecting data, which was conducted on nursing undergraduates taking psychiatric nursing course between March and June 2012. Paired t-test was used to compare the differences between students' attitudes before and after learning the course. ResultsSignificant difference was found for danger factor (P<0.05), while there was no statistically significant difference in the social isolation factor and social ability factor before and after the psychiatric nursing course (P>0.05). ConclusionPsychiatric nursing course has a great influence on students' evaluation of the danger of patients with mental illness which reduces the discrimination against the patients.
